Epinephrine Content of the Suprarenal Glands in Anaphylaxis
نویسندگان
چکیده
The epinephrine store of the suprarenal glands remains unaltered in guinea pigs and rabbits which have been sensitized to ox serum, or subjected to varying degrees of anaphylactic shock by the reinjection of the foreign protein.

Cardiovascular complications and acute ischemic stroke after the treatment with epinephrine in an anaphylactic patient
Anaphylaxis is a serious clinical condition that can affect all ages and many systems (skin, gastrointestinal system, respiratory and cardiovascular systems). There are a few case reports of cardiac and cerebrovascular complications due to the anaphylaxis and/or the treatment with epinephrine. A 69-year-old female patient with known coronary artery disease (CAD), coronary artery bypass graft (C...

Background and purpose: Since histologists studied suprarenal glands more with immuno histochemical methods, and less about its surface cell glycoconjugate chains. Therefore this study was conducted to examine sugar or terminal glycoconjugate sugar chains of surface developing medullary chromatinic cells in mouse embryonic suprarenal glands. Materials and methods: Mice embryos at days 13th...
متن کاملOn the intensity of the accelerating action of eserine upon the epinephrine secretion of the suprarenal gland.
(From the Physiological Laboratory of Prof. Y. Satake, Tohoku University, Sendai.) (Received for publication, August 9, 1949) In the studies on the effect of eserine upon the augmented epinephrine secretion caused by KCl in non-anesthetized dogs, which were performed by the present writer in collaboration with Matumoto, Sasaki and Nuno kawa,1) we noticed that the epinephrine secretion rate from...
متن کاملSpatial and activity‐dependent catecholamine release in rat adrenal medulla under native neuronal stimulation
Neuroendocrine chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla in rat receive excitatory synaptic input through anterior and posterior divisions of the sympathetic splanchnic nerve. Upon synaptic stimulation, the adrenal medulla releases the catecholamines, epinephrine, and norepinephrine into the suprarenal vein for circulation throughout the body. Under sympathetic tone, catecholamine release is mode...
متن کاملEPINEPHRINE SUPPRESSES SECRE TION ORVLDLASSOCIATED TRIACYLGLYCEROLAND INCREASES TRIACYLGLYCEROL AND PHOSPHOL IPID CON TEN TS IN ISOL ATED RAT HEPATOCY TES
The effect of epinephrine on triacylglycerol secretion was investigated in isolated rat hepatocytes. The effect appeared at concentrations of more than 1 µM and reached a plateau at 10 µM. Epinephrine concentration for half of the maximal bioeffect (EC50) was about 1 µM. Epineplrrine at a concentration of 10 µM suppressed triacylglycerol secretion by 33% and increased its cellular content b...
